Bakemonogatari Manga’s 1st Volume Bundles Short Story by NisiOisin

Kodansha revealed on Wednesday that a special edition of the first compiled book volume of manga artist Oh! great’s (Ito Ogure) manga adaptation of NisiOisin’s Bakemonogatari novel will contain “Hitagi Dish,” an original “short short story” by NisiOisin.

The volume will also include an exclusive short manga titled “Bake ‘mono’ gatari” (spelled with the “mono” kanji meaning “person” instead of the original kanji meaning “thing”) by the artist, as well as color illustration cards with art by Hiro Mashima (Fairy Tail), Atsushi Ohkubo (Soul Eater), and Yōsuke Kaneda (Boarding School Juliet). The volume (seen above) will ship on June 15.
