Short Anime Commemorates Opening of Expressway’s New Exit

A short anime commemorating the completion of East Nippon Expressway Company’s (E-NEXCO) soon to be opened Tokyo Outer Ring Expressway on the Misato-Minami interchange to Kōya junction began streaming on May 16. The newly completed road will open on June 2

The anime stars Jun Shison (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (live-action special) as Takashi, a florist whose shop is located near the newly opened section of the expressway. Singer Rina Kawaei voices Aya, a nurse whose life becomes entwined with Takashi’s after he drops off a large potted plant at the hospital. The two are unable to talk because Takashi must leave quickly to beat traffic.
