Escaflowne Director Kazuki Akane, Studio 8-Bit Reveal New Original Project
Animation studio 8-Bit (Encouragement of Climb, Rewrite, Infinite Stratos, Tokyo Ravens, Knight’s & Magic) announced on its Twitter account on Thursday that it is developing a new original project with director Kazuki Akane (Escaflowne series and film, Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Noein - to your other self). Akane posted on Twitter that he is in charge of the original work and scenario, and is also directing the project.
Illustrator Itsuka is in charge of the project’s original character designs. The staff are working now on the storyboard for the first “episode” in the project. The work will center on the drama of children going through puberty.
