Tatsuro Yamashita Performs Songs for Mamoru Hosoda’s Mirai of the Future Film
Tatsuro Yamashita will perform the opening song and the theme song for Mamoru Hosoda’s new Mirai no Mirai (Mirai of the Future) anime film. The opening song, “Mirai no Theme,” will be an up-tempo pop song. The ending song is currently in production.
Mirai no Mirai will mark Yamashita’s second collaboration with Hosoda after composing, writing, and performing the theme song for 2009’s Summer Wars.
The film will open in Japan on July 20, after previously being announced with a May release date. The movie has a 100-minute runtime.
